So we went for another walk today...this time a bit shorter (16 miles), but a lot tougher. In the end it took us 6 hours, to go up a mountain, down the other side (by grabbing a chain and climbing down next to a waterfall... a 'medium' hike here), stopping for 30 mins of lunch by a lake, and then walking home around the edge of the mountain.
View from the top
View of the walk down the other side. Much better!
We had rock scrambling, walking along stream beds, edging down a mountain slowly, and forest walks.... The scenery seems to change all the time!
There was a sketchy moment where I slipped while traversing some rocks and had to desperately hang on... Boots might have helped on these bits..However, our complete lack of the regulation hiking attire (boots, special coats), does seem to confuse people.
Janes asleep at again, so will again have to convince her to do this all again.... This has been one of the best days on the trip so far!
